Swyambhunath Temple
This is Hindu as well as Buddhists temple equally important for both set of followers. The goddess of education Mata Saraswoti and Buddha idols are present on the premises of Swyambhunath. One can relish splendid view of entire Kathmandu Valley and its surrounding hills from the top of this hill. The temple is also called as the monkey temple because of different monkey present around temple.

Bouddhanath
This is another pilgrim destination for Buddhists. It is located in the outskirts of Kathmandu ringroad near to Pashupatinath temple. The Stupa was damaged due to 2015 earthquake but now it has been fully restored to its former glory.

Pashupatinath
This is the most holy shrine for the Hindu followers. It is believed that after visiting all Dhams (holy place) followers have to pay visit to Pashupatinath for the fruits of religious tour. Every year during Shiva Ratri festival lots of Hindu pilgrims flock to pay their visit to Lord Shiva. For non Hindu followers the place can be very fascinating. You will be observing the Hindu's various rituals including the cremation on the bank of holy Bagmati River.

Patan Durbar Square
Among three palaces square Patan Durbar Square situated in Lalitpur district of Nepal can be accommodated in Kathmandu Valley Day tour package. This is very organized and fascinating place. Even the 2015 earthquake couldn't deal major blow on the structure of Patan Durbar Square in comparison to Bhaktapur and Kathmandu. Stone temple of Lord Krishna, Museum and palace are things to see at Patan.

Kathmandu Durbar Square
This is nearby Thamel. You can visit to this place after checking in at your hotel in Thamel. It is just about 15 minutes of walking distance from Thamel. Most of the palaces and temples were destroyed by earthquake. However, you can observe living goddess temple of Kumari inside the perimeter. Giant statue of Lord Bhairab and big bell are major attractions. You can also take look at the damage done by earthquake on these structures. The renovation work is going on to bring the palace square into further glory.
